Why Native Plants?
Native plants offer immeasurable benefits over non-natives. From a maintenance standpoint, natives have good behavior!
By selecting plants that are native to our Intermountain region, you 
are selecting plants that are well adapted to our climate and soils – hot/dry summers, cold winters, temperature and moisture fluctuations, clay, sand, and shale. Understanding your site conditions including soil type, soil moisture, light, exposure and drainage will help you choose the right native plant for the right place.
A well sited native plant will require less attention than a non-native - less water, less or no fertilizer, and no pesticides.
